I see a home as a nurturing place for my family and friends. It is a place to relax, and be easy. I never want to tell my kids to get off a bedspread because it is being crushed. Or tell my husband not to place a drink on a table without a coaster. Every scuff mark tells a story of my family growing up and the moves we made. I allowed my kids to paint walls with their friends and furniture became posters for the latest music idol. Bags were made out of curtains and lampshades out of dress materials.
More than a decade ago, we ran a cult home store named Takete Maluma. Fast-forward to the present, we felt it was the right time to bring ‘designed and made in India’ to the forefront again. Latika Khosla, an International Trend and Color Consultant and one of the Founders of Takete Maluma, now brings the brand afresh to us as Freedom Tree.
